Leading local, national and international athletes are invited to compete for a prize purse of $25,000.

Subject to availability, the Vancouver Sun Run will provide travel assistance, complimentary accommodation, complimentary entry, and VIP treatment to qualifying athletes.

Athletes may receive multiple awards. Prize winners must be present at the awards ceremony and be available for media interviews. Proof of age or citizenship may be required. Time bonuses are for the top Canadian (winner – singular) only and are not cumulative. All awards are based on gun times (not chip times).

Elite Assistance FAQS
Must have ran on a certified course since Jan 1, 2019. Application does not guarantee entry or assistance, the times are given as a minimum for consideration.
International Athletes (M/F):
- Sub 29:30 M / 34:30 F – Possible travel assistance, complimentary accommodation, and complimentary seeded entry.
- Sub 30:30 M / 35:30 F – Possible complimentary accommodation, and complimentary seeded entry.
- Sub 31:00 M /36:00 F – Complimentary seeded entry.
Canadian Athletes (M/F):
- Sub 30:30 M /35:30 F – Possible travel assistance, complimentary accommodation, and complimentary seeded entry
- Sub 31:30 M /36:30 F – Possible complimentary accommodation, and complimentary seeded entry.
- Sub 32:30 M /37:30 F – Complimentary seeded entry.

The Athlete Application Form will be active in January – please check back on the website. The event does NOT issue letters of invitations, visas or travel authorizations. Athletes are responsible for their own entry documentation to Canada.
